Happy New Year from the KRA!
The KRA’s HOA fees are mandatory and go towards landscaping, maintenance, and amenities. The KRA does not have a Facebook page.
On December 31st, 2024, interest will be updated for KRA accounts that are behind in their payments. This does not include 2025 annual fees. Then on January 1st, 2025, the 2025 KRA annual fees are added to accounts.
The KRA board understands the challenges the mail strike has created. Interest to 31Dec24 that is added to accounts will be reviewed in early 2025 and mail delivery delay adjustments made accordingly.
As mentioned on the Kincora Residents Association website - www.kincoraresidents.org there are a variety of payment options:
- Mail
- Pre-authorized payment plan (PAP). If your banking information on record has changed your PAP will not have occurred. Check your bank account in January to confirm the withdrawal.
- Simco office payments & drop off with secure afterhours mailbox.
- Portal payments - 'EFT' usage has a lower fee & 'credit card' usage fee is higher. These fees are from the service provider for a secured online payment feature and not from the KRA or Simco. Use the address that the payment is applied to as the invoice number or leave it blank.
Please review your Simco portal account for your preferred communication method, email address, preferred mailing address, contact phone number & email permissions. Also, there are some suspected owner name spelling errors. Simco 'Service requests' can be submitted for communication and inquiries. Check the Simco 'announcements' section to review and open information updates. The Simco 'calendar' section is being utilized for local event information and important dates.
Also, thank you to everyone that have kept their KRA accounts in good standing. This has allowed for AGM financial approvals for three high dollar value projects. These active projects are working with partnership engagement. Other projects include repairs to the front entrance stonewall (completed), repairs to the Kincora tower lighting, and installation of benches in the ravines (on schedule for 2025).
Owners that have been contacted by SVR Lawyers have had their accounts 'transferred' to SVR Lawyers. Due to the postal strike, the next collection action is postponed to January 2025. These accounts MUST coordinate with SVR Lawyers to avoid delays in payment application. This is an opportunity to prevent additional collection costs from incurring in January 2025.
With the recent snowfalls, winter is top of mind. Keeping warm and enjoying the season is what Calgarians do best, so now is the perfect time to pull those skates and toques out of storage. Resist the urge to hibernate by looking forward to winter activities uniquely available during the colder months of the year. Check out the City's website for more information:
calgary.ca/events/winter-city/ activities.
Showing up for your fellow neighbours is vital to our community! Take some time to be a snow angel for your fellow neighbours who may be unable to shovel their sidewalk and driveway.
You can take advantage of the City of Calgary's free salt and sand mixture, the "pickle" mixture is available at the Symons Valley fire station: 12920 Symons Valley Drive NW. Be sure to bring a container (Under 25KG) and your own shovel, we recommend a Rubbermaid or a repurposed ice cream pail! This is a friendly reminder to clear your driveways and sidewalks within the first 24 hours within a snowfall, as per the City of Calgary.
The KCA is hosting its 6th annual winter festival on February 23rd, from 1:00-3:00 P.M. More information to come!
Wishing you all the best for a health and Happy 2025
